Application Questions
Jun 13 2008, 4:46 PM EDT My favorite image that I would like to submit for the Metal Inclinations exhibition is already sold. May I submit this image, or does it have to be a piece that will be available for sale during the competition? i.e. Will I have to pull the items I submit from my shows this summer? All three images I will be submitting are from the same line, which has its own artist statement. Should I customize the artist statement attached to each individual image to cover only the specific techniques that are evident in that particular piece, or is it acceptable to use the more general statement for each entry? For example, Some of my pieces use embossed leather, some use copper etching plates, and some use a combination of both materials. Should I remove references to the embossed leather in the artists statement accompanying the piece with just etched copper? Thank you. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Application Questions
Jun 14 2008, 4:52 PM EDT It does not matter if your image/s are sold already or sell throughout the year. All accepted images will remain on the site for one year. Customers visiting the site will see the type of work you do and be able to visit your personal or business site with a click from your "artist's page". If you do not have a personal or business web site you may use your email address for contact information. I would set up a different artist's statement for each entered piece if your artist's statement is very specific and mentions material. If you have a general artist's statement, you can use the description area to tell more about each piece. Hope this helps, good luck. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
