Apr 11 2008, 6:05 PM EDT "How will the awards be chosen? Who will do the choosing?"The awards will be chosen by the three jurors who will be judging the images to be included in the exhibition. Each juror will assign each image points based on their appreciation of the work. The artists with the highest points will win the awards. The three jurors for the Metal Inclinations exhibition are: Michael Monroe, a well-known and highly respected figure in the crafts community, now head of the Bellevue Art Museum in Seattle, Washington, former head of the American Craft Council and former curator-in-charge of the Smithsonian Institution's Renwick Gallery in Washington D.C. Marilyn da Silva, professor and program chair of the jewelry and metal arts department at California College of the Arts in Oakland California. Susie Ganch, Assistant Professor and Head of the Metals Program at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond Virginia. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |
